As we had already reported, titanium case 2 was recently compromised by hackers. The players were warned to uninstall the game as soon as possible. According to reports, the hack enabled the perpetrators to access the execution of local code, which can cause all sorts of damage in this situation.
ResPawn Entertainment shared on Twitter that the threat was not so serious and the hackers could at best crash the game. The developer realized that there is no great risk to the computers of the players and that the warnings are a bit premature.
We still examine this problem, but our engineers believe that we have to do it with a simple exploit that can be used to crash games. We do not believe that for affected players or their computers there are more serious risks.
Our team has published an update to fix the exploit crash of the game. We found no evidence of other serious security gaps. We will look for further problems, but consider them closed.
