Cyberpunk 2077 & The Witcher 3: No guarantee for this year's PS5

CD Project Redeiter recently carried out a conference call in which, among other things, talked about the New Gen Release of Cyberpunk 2077. There, Michał Nowakowski announced that the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the Dystopic Action Roleplay should come to the market again this year. However, the company has learned from the lessons of the past and can not guarantee this year's publication.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Next Gen Details

This statement is not very surprising. Meanwhile, we are already in September and there is still no sign of life from the Next-Gen version. The developer team was eagerly busy in the previous year to develop several extensive patches for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Because Cyberpunk 2077 was published in a memorable bad condition, thousands of troubleshooting and other improvements had to be made in the subsequent months.

At the moment, something more than a third of the company was busy with Next-Gen port. At the same time they provide support for the original game. The remaining developers are employed with the first extension and other projects.

CD project Red believes in the long-term potential

Adam Kiciński, the President of CD Project Red, lost a few words about the future of Cyberpunk 2077: The Next-Gen version is an important step on our adventure in the cyberpunk universe. We firmly believe in the long-term potential of this IP.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt should also receive a revised version for the new consoles. But even here the leaders of CDPP can not promise nothing. For development, Saber Interactive employs an external studio that has already developed the switch version and involved in some updates.
