Diablo II: Resurreed recently entered its anticipated access and will soon enter its beta phases for all interested participants. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, which means that Blizzard Entertainment developers should strive to ensure a balanced game and just for joystick players. In a recent blog article, developers gave a glimpse of how they work with the controller, based on the comments in the alpha steps.
As the movement is based on analog stick, developers made adjustments for players to better guide their characters. The endurance system also means that there are two modes of movement, walking and running and that the controller players have received a rocker mechanism, which will be vital to pick up the booty and explore the world.
Another big problem to which developers have been confronted was to find targets, which is difficult for the controller because there are fewer advice and specificity. The team had tested different targeting options, but this led to an overload of information. Therefore, the developers decided to show players the main target, so even if a corpse is not highlighted, the corpse will always be used if necessary.
The plunder in Diablo is about as important as the defeat of enemies. On the controller, the names of the items will be displayed as a function of time and distance to the player, so once someone is nearby, it will always be available. In terms of pickling booty, players can walk very slowly and stop to interact with their favorite objects, instead of having to pick everything.
Diablo II: Resurreed will enter his beta weekend open on August 20th. Playable content includes acts I and II, equipment and customizable capacities and five of the seven classes of the game.
