An expert in games has affirmed that Mortal Kombat 12 is probably the next Netherrealm Studios title because Warner Bros is concerned about spending money on licenses if the study ends up being sealed.
As RedDitor Awkward96 was discovered in GamingleaksandRumours, the last episode of podcast of the GamesBeat Jeff Grubb, Grubbsnax Selectry, talks about the future of Netherrealm, as well as discussing the destination of Wild and the recently announced Quake Games.

During the podcast, Grubb says: As far as I know, we have not heard any news of Netherrealm exactly what they are working below and that is a big question. People think that maybe it's a game of Marvel vs DC, and that would be crazy. It is probably not that. I think I said that it was going to be injustice 3 or whatever, that was a well-founded assumption.
If you think about it a little more, do you make sense? Netherrealm uses a WB property property now makes sense when WB is falling apart in front of our eyes. Who knows where Netherrealm will be next year? Is it easier to sell Netherrealm if it is producing mortal Kombat 12 right now? That's what I've heard that is happening. ...
